Corneal Dystrophy
Please be aware that there are probably dozens of kinds of Corneal
Dystrophy. The first thing you need to do is find out WHICH kind YOU
have. Some of these eye diseases have somewhat the same
symptoms, so it's VITAL that you see a cornea specialist for a
complete examination in order to diagnose it properly.
The cornea specialist will determine it ONLY by using varying
instruments (such as a "slit lamp") and by determining cornea thickness
and cellcount. It's easy to misdiagnose yourself if you are doing
self-diagnosis. Also, these diseases have such a wide variety of
varying treatments and/or preventions, and some are "cureable"
and others are not, it's imperative that you get the correct diagnosis!
Fuchs' Corneal Dystrophy 
Fuchs' Corneal Dystrophy is just ONE of these diseases.

We've learned so much about this disease, mostly from living with it through personal experience (both good and bad), but also through research and talking with cornea specialists around the world. We UNDERSTAND what being told you had Fuchs' Corneal Dystrophy did to you emotionally. We understand the fears and the worries about the future ("I'm not going BLIND am I?").
We know the frustrations in trying so hard to see one thing clearly when something else was no problem at all We've experienced the difficulty in explaining we have Fuchs' Corneal Dystrophy (which it seems nobody ever heard of before!) when our eyes look just like everyone else's; and, well, what do you mean you can't see THIS when you didn't have ANY problem seeing THAT.... well, we've "been there, done that"!
